Regulation of Normal Human Blood Neutrophilic , Macrophagic , and Eosinophilic Committed Stem Cell Proliferation by Autologous Blood T Lymphocyte
نویسنده
چکیده
The influence of T lymphocyte (T cell) subsets on the proliferation of the blood neutrophilic. macrophagic. and eosinophilic cluster and colony (aggregate) forming cells (CFC) was evaluated. The T cells and the CFC-enriched Bnull cells (mononuclear cells depleted of monocytes and T cells) and null cells (Bnull cells depleted of B lymphocytes) were separated from the blood of normal individuals. The population enriched for OKT4 (T4 cells) monoclonal antibody-binding T helper/inducer cells and for OKT8 (T8 cells) monoclonal antibody-binding T suppressor/cytotoxic cells were separated from the T cells or mononuclear cells depleted of monocytes by negative enrichment using an immunoadherence ‘panning” method. These separated cell populations were cultured separately. and the Bnull or null cells were cocultured with the T. T4. and T8 cells in agar medium in the presence and absence of an exogenous source of colony-stimulating activity (CSA). The cultures

متن کاملFacts about Stem Cells and Importance of Them
Stem cells are undifferentiated biological cells that can differentiate into specialized cells and can divide (through mitosis) to produce more stem cells. They are found in multicellular organisms. In mammals, there are two broad types of stem cells: embryonic stem cells, which are isolated from the inner cell mass of blastocysts, and adult stem cells, which are found in various tissues. In ad...
متن کاملProliferation of diffusion chamber colony-forming units (CFUD) in cultures of normal human bone marrow in diffusion chambers in mice.
Normal human bone marrow contains cells capable of forming colonies of hemopoietic cells in fibrin clots in diffusion chambers implanted intraperitoneally (i.p.) into irradiated mice. The present paper describes the proliferation of such colony-forming units (CFUD) in cultures in vivo. Cells harvested from diffusion chambers after 1-14 days of culture in 450-R irradiated mice contained CFUD, wh...
متن کاملThe Role of Human Adult Peripheral and Umbilical Cord Blood Platelet-Rich Plasma on Proliferation and Migration of Human Skin Fibroblasts
BACKGROUND Wound healing is a complex and dynamic process following damage in tissue structures. Due to extensive skin damage caused by burn injuries, this study determined the role of human adult peripheral and umbilical cord blood platelet-rich plasma on proliferation and migration in human skin fibroblasts. METHODS Platelet-rich plasma (5, 10, 15, 20 and 50% PRP) from human umbilica...
متن کاملHodgkin’s Lymphoma Occurring Secondary to Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in Plasma Cell Leukemia; A Case Report
Survival of patients with multiple myeloma has improved substantially because of availability of new therapies including autotransplants, immunomodulating drugs and proteasome-inhibitors. Second primary cancers have emerged as an important determinant of morbidity and mortality among cancer survivors. Even though there is an increased risk of new cancers of the lymphoreticular and haematopoetic...
